Summer for kids is supposed to be a time to rest their brains and enjoy some well deserved time off but for many in our area; it also means the loss of support systems including Free and Reduced Meal (FARM) programs that provide nutritionally balanced, low‐cost or free lunches to our students. For our area schools, that means a guaranteed free breakfast and lunch every school day for every grade level from early childhood education to high school.     A recent surge of activity along Park Road and the 3200 block of Hiatt Place has led to a reinforced effort to mitigate issues of increasing drug dealing, prostitution, and armed robberies, including work with the Office of the Attorney General (OAG).
